I performed my first professional Gig in 1981 when I was 14 years old. People always say to me that I am too young to know the soul and Jazz Funk of the 70’s and early 80’s but to be honest I grew up with it.

My older Sister was a bit of a Soul Head and would spend her money on 12” imports which She used to bring home and play to death and that’s where I got the bug. I love music!! Period. But I love Soul, Jazz Funk and Reggae most. For me the DJ’s of my youth and the people I looked up to were Greg Edwards, Robbie Vincent, David Rodigan and Tony Williams. These shows were the ones I waited up or stayed at home for with my Sharp 9595 plugged firmly in the mains and a couple of Blank TDK’s to hand. My mobile sound system went under the name Sound Fusion it was nowhere near as famous as TKO but not for want of trying. Now 30 odd years later, I am still playing tunes most Friday and Saturday nights and have the great privilege of broadcasting live on RamJam Radio. A station that produces quality Radio shows for you the lovely listener, from DJ’s who are free to play music from their hearts. Trust me such privilege is a rare thing in broadcasting.
