My passion for music began at the early age of 15. Whilst at school a group of school friends suggested we put some money together and play some music at youth club events.
We were all very nervous as this new venture, the first time we played out, was at Holloway Baptist Church. The response was excellent, hence we started to play out on a regular basis.
It was agreed that each member would assist and keep hold of some items from the system. As my parents had the biggest house at the time, most of the Sound boxes, etc., were stored at my home. Let me say we had to be very careful when placing the equipment in my parent’s home as my father would watch our every move, to ensure we never scratched the paint. So as you can see, I had a passion for music from a very young age.
As years went on I decided to pursue my career in music. I took some time out to do some voluntary work at Barnet Hospital Radio station; that went on for some time. I was excited when I was given my own show, the Gospel Selection. This was aired every Wednesday from Barnet Hospital, 6 – 8 pm.
I then started to assist with another show at Charing Cross Hospital every Thursday, from 7 – 9 pm.
Later on I was given some information on Ramjam Radio. I was invited to see the management team. After seeing the professionalism of the station I did not hesitate in putting my application forward. I was later on invited for an interview with the management team, and I was then given the opportunity to have a show on Thursday from 6 – 8 pm GMT, which has been the same since I started.
Join me for The Gospel Selection with a Touch of Rare Groove, every Thursday from 6 – 8 pm GMT. Tune in, stayed blessed and let’s have some fun, listening to some great Gospel music.
