Ramjam Radio does use some of these tools such as simplecast which has proved to be extremely reliable. Although we provide MP3 you could also stream in other formats provided you have enough bandwidth in your home internet connection and that you can aford more stream costs to provide extra streams.
There are free tools on offer for broadcasting namely Shoutcast. If you would like to reduce costs by first learning how to implement the tools.It is a very good way to get started. Ramjam Radio does not mind how you connect but we dont provide help on setting up Shoutcast as they have a very helpful forum to get you started.

A word from the wise. The playing of recorded music that does not originate from you or someone you know that has waived the charges is against music law. There is a governing body for most but not all countries that has broadband on its mainland. The ownership of a radio station means that broadcasting fees are payable for music that is played that does not belong to you. It is okay to get started before you declare yourself to the governing body of the countries that you are allowing your streams to broadcast in. Ramjam Radio provides only the stream and it is not up to Ramjam Radio to pay any fees on your behalf. If you are only streaming in say one country you would be asked or obliged to pay royalty fees to be a legal broadcaster. to stop your stream broadcasting in certain countries is called Geo locking.It is a good idea to pay the country you reside in the licence fee at least.
In order to have a buffer free relaible transmission try and make sure that you have a good fast broadband connection that will allow you to use your computers and send a signal with ease. You can do a speed test to see how much broadband speed you have especially at busy times when your contention rate is high. Try to avoid using a wifi connection, use the cat5 option if possible to get maximum speed from your broadband. Reboot your router reguarly and try not to have too many programs open on the streaming computer.
Your payment after the initial setup will be due the 1st of every month thereafter. There is no contract, you may close your option at any time. There are no refunds if you decide to close mid month. 50 seats consecutively is a good start point, if you do get busy and require more stream seats please ask for a quote and then agree with Ramjam Radio to increase your allocation.
Mostly your stream server will work seemlessly without a problem but just sometimes if you keep closing and starting your service the server will need rebooting, feel free to make contact with Ramjam Radio to have it cleared ready for use ASAP.
This service is aimed at being a starter package with some help to get you started. Most of the rules you are asked to agree to are common sense rules which are not intended to catch people out of obtain money under false pretences
A link page on Ramjam Radio`s website will open your page and player of your stream. You will be able to link your page to Facebook Twitter etc do drive more traffic to your Radio Station.
